Dear friends, from now onwards you can read about all the hots and happenings of Gandhinagar city here on this blog. I will be coming up with all the news and events of our city.
To start with, like every year, this year too Vasantotsav was inaugurated today with full pomp and pageantry. There will be showcase of talents and cultural dances by artists from all states of India. Like West Bengal, Punjab, Assam, M.P., Goa, Rajasthan, et al.. Apart from dances, you can find around 195 stalls exhibiting the handcrafted and traditional items from these states.
This festival has a uniqueness in itself. It will last till 2nd March, 2009. People from Gujarat as well as other states will be visiting this festival. Amidst the beautiful natural atmosphere and the banks of river Sabarmati, this festival aims at bringing the multi-cultural tradition of India, on a single platform.
